With a zinc roof likely to be in place for 50 years or more, integrated solar /photovoltaic panels will almost certainly need to be upgraded well within that time. Without the ability to guarantee that the new panels will be of exactly the same size, replacement within a standing seam system could be unduly problematic and costly.
