Longcross klik into time saving for Sainsbury's hub store

Contractors Longcross has used Hager's Klik LDS for the lighting installation to help complete a 249,000 square foot Sainsbury's regional hub store on schedule.

The new Sainsbury's distribution centre will supply chilled and ambient temperature produce to more than 80 stores throughout North London.

A site audit by Longcross revealed that Klik LDS had made a 10% labour saving for the interior lighting making it both cost effective and an answer to the problem of skilled labour shortage. Further time savings were realised in certain areas since the Klik LDS marshalling boxes used were also fitted with Klik daylight sensitive occupancy sensors, saving some time where hard wired wall switches were not needed.

The Klik LDS and sensors provided a basic energy efficient lighting control system to the office areas. Some local override was possible in certain areas using wall switches.

Klik LDS is available in 4,6,8, or ten way options and speeds up installation since it only needs hard wiring once before plugging in the luminaires. A dual switching capability allows either one or two lighting circuits from each junction box.
