Daikin Europe NV has introduced a new wall mounted indoor air conditioning unit for the residential sector. Known as the ‘Emura’, the new unit is the successful outcome of an in depth independent design programme aimed at achieving a balance between form and function.
Stylish and attractive
Stylish and strikingly attractive with an ultra thin profile and elegantly finished in matt crystal white or sandblasted aluminium, Daikin Emura, designed in Europe for the European climate, is destined to become the precursor of a new era in the design of air conditioning systems. It is also highly energy efficient with an EER up to 4.46 (energy label ‘A’). Available in three classes with capacities from 2.5 to 5.0kW, Emura offers low noise operation with a minimum sound pressure rating of 22dBA.
Inverter technology
Based on well proven Daikin inverter technology, Emura uses R-410A refrigerant and has a wide operating range of -10 to 460C (cooling) and -15 to 200C (heating). A 24 hour programmable infra red remote control with a weekly schedule timer ensures maximum operational flexibility and total user comfort throughout the year.
Many Daikin refinements
Designed to appeal to the energy conscious as well as the style conscious, the unit incorporates all the usual Daikin refinements. A built in movement sensor for example, detects the movement of personnel in the room, switching automatically into an energy saving setting if it remains unoccupied for 20 minutes. As soon as anyone re-enters the room, the unit restarts at its original setting.
A night set mode meanwhile, promotes night time comfort by preventing over heating or over cooling and resultant rapid variations in room temperature. Also, a comfort mode ensures draught free operation by preventing cold airflow from being blown directly onto the user’s body.
Further user advantages include a powerful mode for rapid room heating and cooling and auto swing airflow louvres which provide balanced air distribution throughout the room.
The Daikin Emura represents a remarkable blend of high energy efficiency and iconic and elegant good looks that will enhance any room décor. As a split, it can be combined with its matched outdoor unit on a one-to-one basis or in multiple room applications of up to nine indoor units to one outdoor unit.
